What is million dollar bridge?

The Million Dollar Bridge, also known as the Copper River Bridge No. 339, is a historic bridge located in Alaska, United States. It was constructed in 1910, during the Alaska Gold Rush, to provide access to remote mining areas.

The bridge spans the Copper River and is approximately 3,300 feet long. It was considered a major engineering feat at the time of its construction and is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glacier-fed river below.

The bridge was originally made of wood, but was later replaced with steel trusses in the 1930s. It was named the Million Dollar Bridge because it was originally estimated to cost that much, but ended up being built for only $1.4 million.

Today, the Million Dollar Bridge is no longer in use for vehicle traffic but is open to pedestrians and bicyclists. It is a popular tourist destination and is included as part of several guided tours in the area.
